Winnipeg - Nashville - Calgary
Last night a combined 3 and 0, out scoring opponents 14-5
Previous game a combined 0 and 3, out scored 18-2
It seems like all you need to make the playoffs this year is string three solid games in a row. And I don’t know if any of these three very inconsistent teams can do that.

With three more games played than Nashville, looks like it's too little too late for Calgary though (unless they manage to win at least 5 of their last 8). What a weird season it's been for the Flames...

I say Wpg gets the final spot. It’s a turtle derby, but they have the inside rail.

As a Flames fan. I don't want them to get into the playoffs. Sounds dumb but there's gold in this draft as deep as pick 20. And the Flames need some more of that.

It’s been a weird season. Fans at the start think it’ll be a good season. Team starts well then falls apart. Fans finally start thinking maybe if we keep going this way we can be in a lottery position. Team starts to do better to kill that. At this stage I’m with Dan, lose a bunch and get as good a pick as possible and then perform whatever ritualistic cleansing need to occur in the off season to fix this.

or, you know, you could be a Canucks fan living in Calgary. but nobody's dumb enough to do that...right? 😭

Flames might be in a similar situation than my Sens, out of playoffs but drafting a bit late.
Despite my Leafs players shares, I’d have a hard time to root for them - even in the playoffs.
I was optimistic about the Jets until recently. It seems that Perfetti’s injury derailed their season. Hopefully they turn it around or it will be “go Oilers go”…

Sens are in a pretty good spot. They have some young stars and are close to taking the next step.
Flames...not so much. Best bet for them right now is hoping the vets have a major bounceback next season and augment the team with youth like Pelletier and Coronato, and whoever we draft this year.

It’s anyone but Edmonton…though they have a chance. I would be on the Carolina bandwagon for East teams but the Staal brothers wrecked that a bit. Anyone but Tampa in the east I’ll say.

As a true Flames fan, it is always “go Flames go”
After that, it is “go whomever is facing the Oilers go”

It’s so rare that the cup lands north of the boarder. I always cheer the last standing of the Canadian teams, whoever they are.

I can cheer for a few Canadian teams aside from Cgy…Wpg and Ott for sure. Toronto if I tune out the national media noise. At times Van and Mtl depending on their current players. But never, never, as in when whiskey freezes in hell will I ever cheer for any Edmonton team. Not even in curling.
That has as much to do with the 70s and 80s Eskimos as it does the Oilers. I hate the Eskimos/Elks more than any other team in any other sport.
