Boston gives Kevin Labank, Charlie Coyle, Timo Meier, Victor Hedman, Grigory Denisenko and Jason Robertson
For
Winnipeg gives Dylan Larkin, Shane Bowers, Alexander Kerfoot, John Carlson, Anthony Beaubillier, 2021 UFA 5th round pick and 2022 2nd prospect pick.
Explanation I boston need to start cutting down cap space plus We both had players we wanted or thought be simular.

We basically swapped teams. I guess ai felt like the Boston team was one of my (nonexistent) kids and I didn’t want to see it go. I don’t think I’ve done a trade this large before but it all just fell into place.
Boston needed some cap space and wanted to solidify keepers. I had cap space and wanted to round out my prospects. I started to put together options and all the pieces seemed to fit.
For Boston the big win is Carlson. Hedman is good, but Carlson is in a class by himself. We also thought Larkin has more potential than Meier, though closer. Beauvillier and LaBanc should be close, Beau gives him cap space this year. Kerfoot and a Lyle is more of a cap move and we both agreed weren’t exactly one for one therefore the mid UFA pick goes in. Brice said 5th to 7th rounder, I gave the 5h. The prospects are my win. In the new GM mini draft I kept seeing Robertson and saying “I have Robertson!” and then like Jim Benning I would say “there are two Robertsons!” I wanted both to help my simple mind. Denisenko has labels on his like boom or bust and the next Panarin. He’s not a perfect prospect and while Panarin is a stretch I think should produce. I gave Brice a choice of prospects and Bowers was his selection.
I was quite cautious putting this together trying to make sure I was looking at it objectively and fairly and felt it gets us there. Again, this got Boston cap compliant, improved his keepers and diversifies them across more teams as he had 3 Sharks, and gave him future picks for a rebuild. I end up with better prospects and lesser but still quality keepers.

I had to digest this, but I think it looks good.

Yeh. Cool trade. For how big it is it’s quite balanced for a cap dump deal.
