Flyboy has been suggesting that he wants Hertl back for sometime now, and that he wanted a solid D prospect. So this met his needs.
I wanted to get someone who was more likely to help me come playoff time. Marchessault fits the bill. He’s older and doesn’t have as high an upside as Hertl, but he has a good situation in LV for now. The pp helps me recoup the loss of some earlier, some would say, questionable overpayments.
