And it had to be Perry who did it. Not saying it was intentional, but bad voodoo follows Perry around like stink on a skunk. I don’t blame Foligno for fighting him over it just because it was Perry. Somebody should beat on him every game just on principle.

Moving this to the watercooler as it isn’t league specific.
I think the fight was silly but perhaps in the heat of the moment and given it was Perry... nope, I still think it was silly. I don’t like “answering the bell” after clean hits or accidents. That seems weak to me. What’s even weaker are the covers of the Toronto Sun and the Montreal rag.

Nah. It’s Perry so it’s all good. I don’t like the answering the bell schtick on accidents/clean hits either, but some guys deserve it for all the shit they get away with but don’t answer the bell for. Perry, Marchand...guys like Burrows, McSorley, C. Lemieux, Linseman, etc historically. There’s always 2-3 in the league that deserve whatever they get.
Edit...that got me thinking about players like that. The best name ever for a piss ant player was Bugsy Watson. Honourable mention to Missing Link Gaetz.

I agree having to fight after an accident or clean hit is stupid. But I am all in favour of Perry having to fight because he is Perry. I would add habitual “attempt to injure” guys like Wilson, Gudas and Kadri. They should have to fight every game.
