Coleman to the Flames on a good deal. Zadorov is a neat acquisition too.
I honestly think the Flames land Eichel today as well. I dont want that but here we are.

Carolina and Toronto swap goalies. Good luck to Andersen. He didn’t get the respect he deserved in Toronto…. Seattle needs a centermen now, and the got a power play

Nice. Kraken signs wennberg. Now they have a power play.
Swartz. Wennberg. Eberle Giordano. —-?
$4.5 a year for 3 years might be a little high, but they will get their money’s worth out of wennberg.

Not sure why they didn’t just get Tyler Johnson and pocket a pick to take him. I think he would have a similar impact.

They would have to move out some money to get Eichel. Likely Monahan + I could see Monahan, Dube/Valimaki, Zary and a 1st being offered. Question is would it be better than the other offers they might get.

I like what kraken have done. And they are in the weakest division in the nhl. That pacific division is weak!!! They won’t finish in last place, I’d be surprised about that…. Alberta is going to beat up on everyone in the pacific!

Alberta is going to beat up on everyone in the pacific! Don’t forget about Vegas. But I believe you are correct about Alberta teams. They should benefit from weaker opponents. I would curious if Seattle may try an offer sheet. Highly unlikely, but Vancouver is really over a barrel right now and have to sign a Petersson and Hughes. If I run an expansion team, I am making maximum chaos for teams in my division from the start. Seattle taking Larson and Giordano would seem to be a good start. Offer sheeting one of the Canuck stars would be another way.

I hope they pair those two together. That would be awesome! This team has solid defense. And I think they got a good goalie there. I’m excited for this team!

I believe they can only offer sheet one at a time. But here is the Canuck situation: -Have already moved out dead cap that had one year left on it (Eriksson, etc) and did buy-outs -$16.364m left in cap space -Still have to sign Petersson, Hughes, Dickinson, and Juolevi which will likely be in the neighbourhood of $20-$21m total -And they are paying 4 average-at-best, crappy-at-worst defencemen at total of $18.76m for the next two years (OEL, Myers, Poolman, and Hamonic) They are going to have a pretty good offence, a terrible defence and likely will have to lose a good player either this season or next because that is when Boeser will need to get paid. If anyone is ever going to offer-sheet again in the NHL, it is now. Just not sure any GM has the family jewels to do it.

My Coyotes are going to be absolute world-beating contenders with Carter Hutton leading the charge

After the expansion draft, Seattle was trending towards total garbage. As of right now though, they're actually looking a lot better.
I see them as having two 2nd lines and 2 AHL lines up front, a pretty good D and above average goaltending.
They may not finish last after all.

Great horny toads, Boston is killing it in free agency
Hall 4x$6m Ullmark 4x$5m Foligno 2x$3.8m Haula 2x$2.375m Nosek 2x$1.5m Forbert and Rielly 3x$3m each
Ullmark is a risk/reward type of contract, but all the others seem pretty low risk. Good job building a serious contender

Werenski....oooof!!!!! These salaries are nutty. Defencemen are getting paid way toooooo much. Makar, Jones, Hamilton, Werenski…. I would be worried for the Canucks having to sign Hughes except I hate them and want them to fail so…. Quinn Hughes, $10m over 8 years? C’mon Benning, do it!

Werenski was going to get that on the open market. GMs are overpaying for these players because of how vital they are on the back end... Plus, Werenski is one of the better goal scoring defenseman in the league. Columbus wanted to retain him instead of losing yet another star player that USED to play in Columbus. I think he definitely got overpaid, but it had to get done for him to remain in Columbus for an additional 6 years on top of the last year on his 5m contract. He got a bridge deal, so Columbus paid for 5 years of UFA.
